SmartView Blinds Ltd ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and delivery address when you request a quote, book a consultation, or place an order. We also collect measurement and photo data you submit through our AI Visualizer and measurement tools. Window measurements are used to prepare accurate quotes and are not shared outside SmartView Blinds.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide quotes, schedule appointments, process orders and payments, and communicate with you about your order. In accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we only send marketing communications with your express consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us operate our business (payment processing, email delivery, fitting logistics) under contractual confidentiality obligations. Where a service provider stores or processes data outside Canada, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations, typically for the duration of your customer relationship plus 6 years for tax records, consistent with Canada Revenue Agency requirements.

5. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or withdraw consent for the use of your personal information, and to request deletion where retention is no longer required by law.
